South Korean band DAY6 successfully held their concert tour in Indonesia. Not only in Jakarta, but DAY6 also visited Bali and Surabaya during the “DAY6 3RD WORLD TOUR <FOREVER YOUNG> In Jakarta.”
Promoted by Mecimapro, the DAY6 tour concluded successfully at Beach City International Stadium, Ancol, Jakarta, on Sunday (20/10/2024).
Todaystageid had the opportunity to summarize the excitement of this day 2 concert.
OPENED WITH BEST PART, HEALER, AND TIME OF OUR LIFE B
efore starting the second day of the concert, Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon greeted My Day during the soundcheck session. The four members of DAY6 performed barefaced, without makeup. In the soundcheck, DAY6 played three songs: “My Day,” “Healer,” and “Time of Our Life.”
“Hello, how are you? I’m Young K. This is the last day,” said the guitarist. “Are you all ready? Okay, the last song in this soundcheck is ‘Time of Our Life,'” he added. After singing three songs, DAY6 returned backstage to prepare for the show. “Wait for us for the serious part,” said Wonpil.
Not long after the soundcheck ended around 6:30 PM WIB, the four DAY6 members opened the concert with “Best Part,” followed by “Better Better,” “Healer,” and “Time of Our Life.”
NOT JUST WONPIL; YOUNG K CHANGES GWENCHANA TO RAPOPO IN HEALER
There was an interesting moment during DAY6’s performance of “Healer.” Two members were seen changing the word “Gwenchana” to “Rapopo.” This was done by Young K and Wonpil while singing the chorus alternately. “Rapopo,” which means “it’s okay” in Javanese, is equivalent to the meaning of “Gwenchana.” It turns out that Young K and Wonpil learned the word “Rapopo” during DAY6’s concert in Surabaya.
At that time, My Day (the name for DAY6 fans) created a fan project video that included the song “Healer.” My Day appeared to replace the phrase “Gwenchana” with “Rapopo” in that video. The phrase “Rapopo” ended up being frequently said during DAY6’s performance in Jakarta. The show continued with “Time of Our Life.” My Day in the standing area caught Wonpil’s attention as they formed a circle and jumped around. “You’re spinning around like this. Is everyone ready today? Where’s the sound?” said Wonpil.
NOTE BATTLE WITH MYDAY AND KARAOKE TOGETHER
In their final meeting with My Day Indonesia, Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon created sweet memories for their fans.
This started when Wonpil expressed that he didn’t want to end the tour in Indonesia because of the audience’s enthusiasm. “Really, you guys, what can we do? Today, let’s not go home, okay?” said Wonpil, followed by cheers from My Day. Sungjin, panicking over Wonpil’s statement, asked him to take responsibility for his words.
Young K, trying to lighten the mood, ended up having a note battle with My Day. Singing a few notes, My Day repeated them back perfectly. Young K then asked Dowoon to try what he did. After seeing Dowoon succeed in singing, Wonpil and Sungjin also joined in the note battle.
After that, Young K invited My Day to karaoke songs that weren’t included in the Jakarta concert setlist.
FAN PROJECT VIDEO MOVES DAY6 MEMBERS TO TEARS
In the middle of the concert, during a photo session, My Day Indonesia prepared a fan project video that served as a closing for their concert tour. Seeing video clips discussing how DAY6 was the reason for My Day’s happiness, Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon couldn’t hold back their emotions.
“I thought you were okay, but after seeing those words, I send it back to you: don’t forget to be happy,” said Young K.
“There was something that touched me; we are all humans who deserve to be happy,” Young K added. Sungjin expressed that he was touched by the words that My Day would always be with DAY6.
“We feel the same; you can do whatever you can, so don’t be afraid, do everything you can,” said Sungjin. “Everyone, let’s keep being happy and always be healthy, thank you,” he added.
CLOSED WITH A BANG
DAY6’s hit songs like “Time of Our Page,” “You Were Beautiful,” and “She Smiled” certainly made it to the setlist that Sungjin and the others did not skip during the concert titled DAY6 3RD WORLD TOUR <FOREVER YOUNG>.
Seeing the excited My Day, Young K expressed his happiness and vowed to keep energizing the fans until the concert ended.
After opening the concert, they introduced themselves and greeted the My Day audience present. “We came here in May, but you had to wait five years for our solo concert,” said Young K.
DAY6 continued the concert with “She Smiled,” “How To Love,” “Pouring,” and “Say Wow.” Even though it was the last day of their concert tour, this JYP Entertainment group showed no signs of fatigue. Young K stated that the audience’s energy was contagious to them.
“Is everyone ready to have fun? The energy is amazing, thank you,” Young K said.
“So love, happiness, and energy that we feel, we want you to feel it too. Are you enjoying it?” said Young K, answered by cheers from My Day.
The concert continued with “You’re Beautiful,” “I Loved You,” “Letting Go,” and “Congratulations.” Since not all DAY6 songs could fit into the setlist, DAY6 sang a medley of several songs that were joined in by My Day.
“There are many songs you want to hear; isn’t that too many? We actually have many songs we want to perform,” said Young K. The concert continued with “How Can I Say,” “I Wait,” “Love Me or Leave Me,” and “Shoot Me.” Other songs performed by DAY6 included “Monster,” “Zombie,” “Melt Down,” “HAPPY,” “Wish,” “Help Me Rock&Roll,” “Shxtty Game,” “DANCE DANCE,” “Freely,” and “The Power of Love.”
My Day was pampered again with karaoke facilities that they sang together while waiting for DAY6 to return for the encore.
To close the concert, DAY6 performed “My Day,” “First Time,” and “Welcome to The Show.”
So, that’s the recap of the excitement from last night’s concert. What moment made it hard for you to move on?
