Jakarta – Thai actor from GMMTV, Joong Archen Aydin, or simply known as Joong Archen, successfully held a fan meeting in Jakarta.
The Joong Your Smile Solo Fan Meeting in Jakarta took place on Saturday (November 9, 2024) at the Luxus Grand Ballroom, MGK Kemayoran, Jakarta.
This fan meeting was Joong Archen’s first opportunity to meet his fans in Indonesia.
The event, promoted by INTERS Production, began at 3:00 PM and opened with a live performance by Joong Archen, who sang the OST for My Dear Donovan.
Joong Archen made a surprise entrance onto the stage after the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, was played.
The event, which lasted about one and a half hours, received high enthusiasm from all the fans in attendance.
One of the highlights of the event was the Q&A session with Joong Archen.
During the Q&A, Joong was asked about his first impressions after arriving in Jakarta.
Joong admitted that he was surprised to see so many fans waiting for him at the airport.
The actor, who became famous through the drama Star and Sky: Star in My Mind (2022), was also touched when fans in Indonesia called him “Archen.”
This was unusual for him, as in Thailand, people usually call him “Joong.”
“A lot of fans came to the airport and called me ‘Archen, Archen,’ which is so different from my country, where they usually call me ‘Joong, Joong,'” said Joong Archen.
However, the actor mentioned that he was not bothered by being called “Archen” by his fans in Indonesia.
Joong Archen also shared that he had never visited any other city in Indonesia except Jakarta.
He then asked his fans for recommendations on which city he should visit next.
Fans suggested Palembang, as they recommended trying the famous Indonesian dish Pempek.
Joong Archen expressed his interest in trying the Indonesian food recommended by his fans.
The event continued with fun games, a TikTok dance challenge, and more performances by Joong Archen.
At the end of the event, Joong Archen sang the song You’re My Treasure, a single performed by several GMMTV actors, including himself.
Although the event was short, Joong Archen managed to create unforgettable moments for his fans.
