The South Korean boy group known as Super Junior or SuJu will once again hold their concert in Indonesia on Saturday (September 14), titled “Super Show Spin-Off: Halftime.”
The concert will be held at Beach City International, Ancol, North Jakarta. This performance is part of Super Junior’s tour that has been ongoing since June 22.
The concert tour brings immense joy to Indonesian K-pop fans, as Super Junior is considered one of the legendary boy groups that has been around since the early 2000s.
Super Junior was formed by producer Lee Soo Man under SM Entertainment in 2005 with their debut song “Twins (Knock Out).” They made a huge impact in the entertainment world after releasing their single “Sorry Sorry” in 2009.
Their success brought a fresh wave to the music industry globally. This is because Super Junior won several international awards, including 16 wins at the Golden Disk Awards, 13 wins at the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), and became the second boy group to win Favorite Artist Korea, along with many other awards.
These continuous achievements earned Super Junior the title of “King of the Hallyu Wave,” a recognition that remains to this day.
With their global fame, Super Junior has held numerous tours since 2008, with the first show typically starting in Seoul, South Korea.
For this year, the opening of Super Junior’s tour was once again held in Seoul on June 22-23, 2024. Indonesia is the final destination of the “Super Show Spin-Off: Halftime” tour.
