NCT 127 Successful Concert in Jakarta Arena, Speaking Indonesian to Fans

The South Korean boy group NCT 127 returned to greet their fans, NCTzen, in Jakarta today, Saturday (February 15, 2025). The concert titled NCT 127 4th Tour NEO CITY: Jakarta-THE MOMENTUM began promptly at 7:00 PM. The echoes of fans’ screams and the glow of their lightsticks filled the Indonesia Arena as the NCT 127 members made their grand entrance on stage. Doyoung, Jungwoo, Mark, Johnny, Yuta, and Haechan opened the concert, promoted by Dyandra Global Edutainment, with songs “GAS,” “Faster,” “Bring the Noise,” “2 Baddies,” and “Skyscraper.”

The members expressed their hopes for the fans to enjoy the concert and stay safe throughout the show. “We’ll do our best to make this concert the best one. I love you,” Yuta said.

Mark added, “How are you? Was it fun? We’re going to have fun until the end, and of course, we’ll be safe.” The group continued with performances of “Chain,” “Designer,” and “Regular.”

“It’s been a long time since we met, Sijeuni Jakarta,” said Jungwoo.

“Let’s have fun together today,” he continued after introducing himself. Haechan, NCT 127’s youngest member, echoed similar sentiments. “It’s been a long time since we met,” Haechan said.

After greeting the fans, NCT 127 performed additional songs such as “Designer,” “Orange Seoul,” “Touch,” “No Clue,” “Sticker,” “Whiplash,” and “Lemonade.” During the break, Haechan invited fans to sing “Happy Birthday” for some of the members. Notably, four members of NCT 127 have birthdays in February—Johnny on February 9, Jaehyun on February 14, Jungwoo on February 19, and Doyoung on February 1.

Jakarta became the second stop for NCT 127 after kicking off their concert in Seoul, South Korea. This is not NCT 127’s first time in Jakarta. In January 2024, they also performed for their fans, known as NCTzen, during the “Neo City – The Unity” concert at the Indonesia Arena. However, this time, NCT 127 performed with only six members, as Taeyong and Jaehyun are currently serving their mandatory military service.

In an interesting moment during the talk session, Mark Lee revealed that he had researched about Indonesia before their concert in Jakarta. He even talked about rendang, which was named by an international media outlet as the best food in the world.

TMI, this will be TMI, but I heard that the best foods were ranked by CNN, and Indonesia’s food came in first and second, said Mark.

He also mentioned enjoying Korean food at the cafeteria in Jakarta. “The Korean food at the cafeteria was also incredibly delicious,” he added.

Not only did Mark make efforts to learn about Indonesia, but other members also made sure to speak in Indonesian when greeting NCTzen. Haechan, for example, included Indonesian in his message, promising to meet the fans again soon.

“We’ll meet again, everyone. We’ll meet again and promise to have fun again,” said Haechan.

“I love you. Sijeuni mantul,” Haechan added, using Indonesian.

One notable moment was during their performance of “No Longer,” a ballad that fans had been eagerly awaiting. The fans’ enthusiasm and loud singing made the atmosphere even more special. Doyoung was so moved that he stopped singing and handed his microphone to the fans to continue his part.

“When I was singing No Longer, I was really surprised. I’m not lying when I say this is a sound you won’t hear anywhere else. It’s very beautiful. Thank you,” said Doyoung.

He also reminded the fans to stay safe during the concert. “Since you’re all close together, you might get sweaty. If you’re feeling uncomfortable, make sure to drink water,” he advised.

As a reminder, Jaehyun couldn’t join the The Momentum tour due to his mandatory military service.

Despite the incomplete formation, the members expressed their gratitude for the incredible love they received from their fans. “I’m very grateful, and thank you so much for making the first international city successful,” said the members.

“We’ll meet again, everyone. We’ll meet again and promise to have fun again. I love you. Sijeuni mantul,” said the youngest member, Haechan.

The concert concluded with performances of “Dreams Come True” and “Promise.” For NCTzen who couldn’t attend the first day, don’t worry! NCT 127 will return to perform for their fans on the second day of their concert, Sunday (February 16, 2025), at the same venue. This is a golden opportunity for fans to experience the incredible energy of NCT 127 once more.
