Meet the New Wave of Indonesian Music: Spotify Unveils RADAR Indonesia 2026

Indonesia’s music scene is entering an exciting new chapter. With fresh voices, diverse sounds, and deeply personal storytelling, a new generation of artists is ready to take center stage. Recognizing this momentum, Spotify has officially introduced its RADAR Indonesia 2026 lineup—spotlighting ten rising acts who are shaping the future of the country’s music landscape.

This year’s lineup features Alisha Dira, Amanda Caesa, Betrand Putra Onsu, dia, eńau, Jordy Riz, Maisha Kanna, PORIS, Tsaqib, and Vanessa Zee—a diverse mix of talents spanning Pop, R&B, folk, rap, and even hipdut. Together, they represent a vibrant cross-section of Indonesia’s evolving sound, each bringing something uniquely their own.

A Platform for Rising Stars

RADAR is Spotify’s flagship global program dedicated to discovering and amplifying emerging artists. Over the years, it has become a powerful launchpad for musicians worldwide—and Indonesia’s 2026 class might be one of its most compelling yet.

“Music in Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia, continues to grow rapidly, with more artists embracing new perspectives and sounds,” said Kossy Ng, Head of Music for Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong at Spotify. “RADAR focuses on those driving this change. We’re excited to bring their music to wider audiences while supporting their journey—without losing the essence of their Indonesian identity.”

Indonesia’s Growing Global Reach

The rise of Southeast Asian music is impossible to ignore. In 2025 alone, nine out of the top 20 RADAR Global artists came from the region, including Indonesian names like The Lantis, Rony Parulian, and Aftershine. Today, Indonesian RADAR artists are reaching listeners far beyond national borders, with audiences in countries like Malaysia, the United States, Japan, Singapore, and Australia.

For the artists themselves, being part of RADAR is more than just exposure—it’s validation.

Singer-songwriter dia shared how meaningful the opportunity is:
“Being part of RADAR opens up a huge opportunity for my music to be heard. I produce everything myself from scratch, so it’s very personal. I’m excited to see how far these songs can go and who they’ll connect with. It’s not just about numbers—it’s about finding listeners who truly resonate with what I create.”

Meanwhile, Maisha Kanna sees it as a major milestone:
“Just having my music on Spotify already meant so much. Now, being part of RADAR feels like taking a bigger step forward. I’m really grateful for the support, especially seeing my songs reach more listeners.”

The Artists to Watch

Each artist in the RADAR Indonesia 2026 lineup brings a distinct story and sound:

  • Alisha Dira – A young singer and digital creator known for her viral “lyric continuation” content and natural vocal talent.
  • Amanda Caesa – A soulful voice in R&B, delivering emotionally rich tracks like Lagi Lagi Kamu.

With talent this diverse and promising, one thing is clear: the future of Indonesian music is in very good hands.
