JAKARTA, MARCH 13, 2025 – Spotify continues to be the top destination for podcast creators, with over 1 billion users having listened to podcasts on Spotify since 2019. For the first time, Spotify introduces the Creator Milestone Awards, a global program that honors the journey, growth, and success of podcast streaming worldwide, including in Indonesia.
The Creator Milestone Awards will recognize creators who achieve stream counts starting from 50 million streams for Bronze, 250 million streams for Silver, and 500 million streams for Gold – based on cumulative total streams, with awards given every three months.
Globally, this program honors several creators in the podcast industry, such as Crime Junkie, The Joe Rogan Experience (Gold), Dateline NBC, Stuff You Should Know (Silver), VIEWS with David Dobrik & Jason Nash, Rotten Mango (Bronze), and many more podcasts from other countries.
“This program reflects our ongoing commitment to support and appreciate creators who inspire, entertain, and connect with millions of listeners. We are proud to launch this program in Indonesia, which has a dynamic podcast community,” said Carl Zuzarte, Head of Podcast Spotify Southeast Asia. “We believe every creator’s journey deserves to be celebrated, and this award is our way of recognizing the dedication they bring and the impact they make on their listeners.”
In Indonesia, the first-wave award recipients are AGAK LAEN!, Do You See What I See?, GJLS, Podcast Malam Kliwon, PODKESMAS, and Rintik Sedu, who have each reached over 50 million streams on Spotify – making them the first Indonesian creators to receive the Creator Milestone Awards.

“We’re so proud that our work has been recognized through Spotify’s Creator Milestone Awards program – setting a new standard for appreciating podcast creators’ achievements on Spotify,” said the Podcast Malam Kliwon team. “Spotify supports us in sharing stories with millions of listeners, especially with the introduction of the video podcast format, which allows us to showcase visual elements that are essential for horror podcasts, like the expressions of our guests and the set design, offering a complete experience for our listeners and helping us connect with them.”
Meanwhile, Tsana, the self-care podcast creator from Rintik Sedu, shared her excitement in receiving a global award from Spotify and how this motivates her to continue delivering engaging content for her listeners. “It’s so exciting to be part of a global appreciation program that celebrates podcasters around the world. Knowing that Spotify truly values and supports our efforts means so much to me. This inspires me to keep giving my best and explore new ways to connect more closely with my listeners.”
