Starring Ha Jung Woo, the film Nocturnal is scheduled to premiere in Indonesian theaters on March 19, 2025

Korean film lovers, get ready! The latest South Korean film, Nocturnal, will be hitting theaters in Indonesia starting next month.
Nocturnal is directed by Kim Jin Hwang, who previously gained recognition for his 2016 film The Boys Who Cried Wolf. Kim Jin Hwang also wrote the screenplay for this film.

Nocturnal (titled Broken in Korea) stars Ha Jung Woo, Kim Nam Gil, Yoo Da In, Jeong Man Sik, and Im Sung Jae.

Here’s the synopsis of the Korean film Nocturnal (2025): Bae Min Tae (Ha Jung Woo), once a gang member, now works as a construction worker. One day, he receives news that his younger brother, Bae Seok Tae, has passed away. His sister-in-law, Moon Young (Yoo Da In), suddenly goes missing.

While searching for clues about his missing brother, Bae Min Tae learns of a novelist named Kang Ho Ryeong (Kim Nam Gil). It turns out that his brother’s death was predicted in a novel titled Nocturnal Trip written by Kang Ho Ryeong.

In the midst of this confusion, Bae Min Tae begins a search driven by rage. He seeks to uncover the truth and find out what happened on the night of his brother’s death.

The distributor of Nocturnal, Barunson Enter & Arts, has confirmed that the film will be released in 158 countries, including Indonesia. In South Korea, the film will be released in theaters starting February 5. The international release date has not yet been announced.

In addition to Indonesia, Nocturnal will also be released in theaters in Singapore, Japan, Thailand, India, France, and Spain. The film has also been selected to screen at the Glasgow Film Festival in the non-competition category.

Nocturnal is the only film to be featured at the Glasgow Film Festival this year. The film has been praised by Allison Gardner, the director of this year’s festival.

Directed by Kim Jin Hwang, the film has been lauded for its high-level acting performances. Its story also promises an intriguing plot with surprising twists.

This mystery-thriller film will be released in Indonesian theaters on March 19, 2025.
